Los Cabos, Baja California Sur; May 21, 2026. The participation of the Los Cabos Tourism Board (FITURCA) at IMEX Frankfurt, held from May 19 to 21, brought together a delegation composed of 12 destination partner companies, including DMCs, hotels, experience providers, and representatives from the hotel sector.

The destination’s delegation included the DMCs Connect, In Cabo, Native Trails, and Destination México; the hotels Fiesta Americana, Viceroy, Hyatt Ziva, Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and Krystal Grand; as well as the experience companies Cactus and The Main Event. The Los Cabos Hotel Association also participated.

During the trade show, the delegation held 260 business meetings and conducted 11 group presentations, reaching 450 international event planners. As a result of these commercial activities, 130 requests for proposal (RFPs) and new leads were generated for the destination.

As part of the strategic partnerships agenda, the collaboration with Condor Airlines stood out, featuring an activation at the Los Cabos booth with a business-class cabin to promote the air route connecting the destination with Frankfurt (SJD–FRA). Los Cabos also participated as a key partner in the first edition of the Maritz Global DMO Exchange, where industry trends and best practices were shared to continue strengthening business for the events industry in the destination.

The delegation also took part in SITE Nite Europe, a gathering focused on the incentives segment, which provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with clients and business partners connected to this market.

As part of the destination’s institutional presence, Los Cabos was represented at the Gaining Edge Think Tank held during IMEX Frankfurt, in addition to participating as a guest destination at the IMEX Gala.

“Los Cabos’ participation in IMEX Frankfurt responds to a strategy focused on expanding the destination’s positioning in international markets, particularly in Europe. Actions such as promoting the Los Cabos–Frankfurt route and building partnerships with industry stakeholders contribute to strengthening connectivity and attracting events to the destination,” said Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board.

FITURCA also participated in the educational sessions of ICCA, the International Congress and Convention Association, strengthening its positioning within the global meetings and international congress industry. These sessions generated valuable opportunities for networking, the exchange of best practices, and updates on the trends and challenges shaping the future of the industry.

In terms of sustainability, the Los Cabos booth received the Better Stands Bronze recognition, awarded for practices related to the use of reusable structures and operational efficiency in exhibition space design.

Additionally, the destination carried out an activation at City Beach in the context of IMEX Frankfurt, with actions focused on reinforcing the tourism promotion of Los Cabos and the air connectivity between San José del Cabo and Frankfurt.
