Los Cabos Industry
Los Cabos has established itself as one of Mexico’s leading tourism destinations and an international benchmark for high-value travel. In 2025, the destination welcomed nearly 3.8 million visitors, maintaining strong domestic and international demand and representing nearly 130% growth in visitor arrivals over the past decade.
This growth has been accompanied by a significant evolution of the destination’s hotel offering. Los Cabos currently features more than 22,000 hotel rooms, compared with approximately 15,000 in 2016, with nearly 80% of its inventory within the five-star category. In 2025, the destination recorded an average hotel occupancy rate of approximately 70%, an average daily rate of nearly US$440, and RevPAR of approximately US$306, reinforcing its position within the premium travel segment.
Air connectivity has also transformed Los Cabos’ position within international markets. By the end of 2025, the destination was connected to 42 international airports, including 32 in the United States, as well as destinations in Canada, Germany, and Panama. FITURCA reported 61 nonstop connections in 2025, strengthening access from the destination’s primary markets while expanding its reach into new regions.
Visitor loyalty and satisfaction continue to be important components of the Los Cabos experience. Approximately 40% of travelers are repeat visitors, while satisfaction indicators related to the destination, airport experience, and perception of safety remain strong.
In 2026, Los Cabos continues to advance a tourism strategy focused on quality over volume, connectivity, sustainability, and high-value experiences. Between January and May 2026, Los Cabos International Airport welcomed approximately 1.6 million arriving passengers, including nearly 1.05 million international arrivals.
With its distinctive setting where the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Cortés, and the Baja California Sur desert converge, world-class tourism infrastructure, and approximately 350 days of sunshine each year, Los Cabos continues to strengthen its position as an international destination that brings together hospitality, nature, gastronomy, wellness, adventure, and extraordinary travel experiences.
