Visit Candelaria

Bright lights and bustling streets define Los Cabos, but inland most of the countryside carries a small-town mindset, perfectly exhibited through the tiny town of La Candelaria. With more than 200 years of history, Candelaria is a small town with a population of only 128 people. It’s home to a historic church, orchards and a variety of wild animals, such as iguanas, doves, and hares you can find crossing the streets on occasion. While outside of the main hub of Cabo San Lucas and its surroundings, there are plenty of things to do in La Candelaria, including ATV tours of the local dusty sandspit trails or a day trip to Migriñno Beach. Pay close attention: Legend has it that the town has a history of white magic and witchcraft, with residents boasting unusually lengthy lifespans – often well into their 90s. You may be able to walk away with some good luck.
