Lovers Beach

Known as Playa del Amor, or Lover’s Beach, this tiny little spit of secluded sands is probably the most popular and yet most sublime of the swimmable beaches in Los Cabos. Nestled between two prominent jagged granite rock formations, the beach is one of the most sought-after attractions in Cabo San Lucas as it offers up so much to do. Don’t worry about how to get to the spot – the easiest way is simply via water taxi from Medano Beach across the bay, or if you have some ambition it’s a quick and relaxing paddleboard or kayak ride over calm, turquoise waters.

Glass-bottom boats in the marina will also run trips to the sands, offering up a unique perspective of the tropical fish and marine life below. Snorkeling is popular here as marine diversity flourishes beneath the surface, while scuba diving the underwater sand-falls of Neptune’s Finger draw even the most accomplished diver to experience something magical. If all you are looking for is a quiet walk with your love and possibly a little bit of swimming to cool off, look no further. One word of advice is to bring a pair of shoes, as the sands can gather plenty of heat during the afternoon hours and you most definitely want to protect your feet.
