Chileno Beach

One of the top highlighted swimmable beaches in Los Cabos is Playa Chileno along the Tourist Corridor. Its draw is not due to the flashy and busy shores such as at Cabo San Lucas’ Medano Beach, but a more laid-back atmosphere permeates the area. The calm, azure blue waters are some of the finest in the area for engaging in snorkeling and swimming due to their Blue Flag safety rating. Visitors can spend the day in the beach, as well as wash off their feet and clean up at provided shower systems. Other on-site amenities include trash disposal stations, portable toilets and a lifeguard stand to overlook swimmers. Access is easy, as parking lots are available for anyone renting a car and driving to the beach. Many boat tours do run from the San Lucas marina, so if you are without a car you can always hop a ride for a day out sun-bathing. Feel free to explore Chileno Beach, but don’t be shy to visit other surrounding beaches to get a different feel such as at Santa Maria Beach only just over a mile away.
