The PGA TOUR Returns to El Cardonal Golf Course Designed by Tiger Woods at Diamante for the Annual FedExCup Event
LOS CABOS, MEXICO (August 13, 2025) – The countdown marks just 85 days until the World Wide Technology Championship tees off with its first round. Today, the tournament gathered local media in Los Cabos to present the official PGA TOUR event, which already boasts 19 years of history and tradition. For the third consecutive year, the WWT Championship will be held at El Cardonal Golf Course, designed by Tiger Woods and TGR Design at Diamante Cabo San Lucas in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The dates are set for November 6–9, 2025.
The PGA TOUR, which features the best golfers in the world competing on iconic golf courses, will bring together 120 players who will compete in 72 holes of stroke play as part of the FedExCup season.
Over its 19 years, the tournament has donated $3.8 million to charitable causes, and since 2023, that impact has remained in the Los Cabos community, strengthening local organizations. In addition, the event generates an annual direct economic impact of nearly $25 million, involving more than 600 volunteers—many of them residents or people who consider Los Cabos their second home—and more than 700 people among suppliers, production teams, and staff. In Los Cabos, the tournament has directly benefited 14 nonprofit organizations, consolidating its commitment to the region’s sustainable growth and confirming that sports and social responsibility can unite to transform communities.
“We are extremely excited and enthusiastic as the event draws near,” said Tournament Director Joe Mazzeo. “The World Wide Technology Championship is much more than a golf tournament; it’s a week of celebrations and impact. We are proud to contribute to the sustainable growth of the region, showing that sport and social responsibility can go hand in hand to transform communities.”
Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, stated: “This championship not only solidifies Los Cabos as a global golf destination but also reaffirms our commitment to sustainable tourism and responsible economic development. We are proud to be the golf mecca of Latin America, thanks to world-class courses that attract visitors from around the globe. Beyond the sport, golf generates significant economic benefits for our local community and promotes essential values such as environmental stewardship and community collaboration. Hosting an event of this magnitude is a clear demonstration of our joint efforts for inclusive and sustainable growth.”

All four rounds will be televised and distributed worldwide through the PGA TOUR’s extensive network, including Golf Channel in the United States and Golf Channel Latin America in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Internationally, PGA TOUR coverage is available in more than 220 countries and territories in 26 languages through 44 broadcast and digital partners.
In this third edition of the tournament in Los Cabos, spectators will enjoy new experiences such as VIP hospitality, a food and art festival, additional Pro-Ams, live music, health and wellness events, children’s activities, sponsor activations, and much more.
