Overview
Opened in 2014, El Cardonal is a scenic layout with an “Old California” design motif that marked the architectural debut of superstar Tiger Woods. Routed on higher ground than the Dunes Course, the layout meanders through sand dunes on the outgoing holes. The back nine, edged by desert vegetation, crisscrosses a series of arroyos. Bold, flashed-face bunkers create an array of strategic options. With its wide corridors and open-entry greens, El Cardonal was designed to appeal to golfers at all ability levels. Guests of the on-site Nobu Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel have exclusive access to El Cardonal, subject to availability.
