Things To Do In      San José del Cabo

Displaying the more laid- back and artistic side of Los Cabos, San Jose del Cabo is brimming with sublime yet adventurous activities, eye-catching attractions and exciting things to do when visiting for vacation.  Showcasing historic architecture and colorful buildings in the art district downtown, an art walk through the streets – held every Thursday from November to June – allows visitors to browse the galleries touting local works in the artisan shops which are held every Thursday from November to June. The area is also a gateway to the farm-to-table dining scene, and the historic downtown streets of most towns are lined with local art boutiques and trendy coffee shops.  If you hit it right, you can even partake in some traditional Mexican festivals such as Day of the Dead celebrations or grab a bite to eat at Sabor a Cabo, or more commonly known as Restaurant Week.

Outside of the towns, golden beaches attract surfers from around the world to sample the tasty waves along the coast, usually topped off with a walk to the bars for a celebratory beverage, sampling a Baja brewery or whooping it up in the nightlife near the hotels. Why not combine a day touring a local brewery by with hopping on any one of the many fishing charters boats available for charter? Top species such as striped marlin, roosterfish, and Cabrilla can be caught dropping fishing lines in the Sea of Cortez. For some softer sports calmer activity, a selection of quality golf courses appeases any golfer looking to get that elusive a hole in one. If travelers get an itch to spend, more than a fair share of shops put out fine wares and clothing for shopping binges during the daytime or night.
