YAYA – which means “grandmother” in Italian and Greek – is inspired by the comfort foods and heartwarming atmosphere created by grandmothers in kitchens all over the world. The international menu with traditional dishes from Italy, Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine, and, of course, Mexico. Chef Eliana Godinez sources the finest ingredients from land and sea to bring culinary favorites from her Italian-Mexican heritage to life in the contemporary space overlooking Chileno Bay’s three-tiered infinity pool.

The Argentinean-born Chef Guillermo J. Gomez brings his passion for global cuisine to Los Cabos at his newly-opened SAGE in downtown San Jose. Showcasing the knowledge he has accumulated while running kitchens around Latin America and Europe, the chef and his team serve a seasonal menu that marries local ingredients with international inspiration.

Kitchen Table San José del Cabo

Kitchen Table was born in Tulum in 2015 with their newest outpost in San José del Cabo opening this past summer. Designed with an open kitchen, the restaurant uses seasonal, organic, and local produce to craft a creative menu served in an atmosphere for people who love food and nature. Focused on sustainability, the restaurant makes all menu items in-house in an effort to generate the least amount of waste possible.

Símaruba

Since April 2022, visitors to San José del Cabo have been able to experience the colorful cocktails and imaginative tapas at Simaruba. Chef Marco Marin has crafted a diverse spread of small plates from the land, sea, and soil surrounding Los Cabos. Guests are encouraged to pair their meals with a generous offering of cocktails, mocktails, wines, and other refreshments as they linger to take in live performances by local musicians in the restaurant’s outdoor plaza and can learn the skill themselves in mixology masterclasses hosted by guest bartenders.

For weekend brunch, the place to see and be seen in 2023 will be Semillón. Owned and managed by Chef Javier Plascencia, the restaurant is nestled within a nature reserve and feels like a secret hideaway for you and your inner circle. This restaurant in Cabo San Lucas gives farm-to-table cuisine a unique twist by adding Mediterranean flavors to its dishes and drinks. Visitors can take a seat on the expansive rooftop terrace for views of the ocean and surrounding mountains while Chef Victor Garrido cooks up a seasonal menu from fresh ingredients farmed on-site. Fresh off its $10 million renovation, ME Cabo has pulled out all the stops when revamping the property – including its flagship restaurant, Mamazzita. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the open-air restaurant that looks out at the horizon, and live music keeps the party going after the sun slips behind the Pacific Ocean.
